Tour of Flanders Rally 2008 Day 1 Results: Pieter Tsjoen in command on his comeback

Pieter Tsjoen was totally dominating the Omloop van Vlaanderen 2008 at the end of the first day in his Stucto sponsored, R-Tec prepared, Focus 05 WRC. This is his first competitive outing since Ypres 2007, yet he leads the event by over a minute to show that he has lost none of his pace.

Paul Lietaer was second in his Crack sponsored Subaru with Melissa Debackere in third and showing serious pace as she hopes to score some important Belgian championship points. Bernard Munster is back in fourth in his Subaru WRC and Casier is fifth. Snijers, in sixth, is struggling a bit today as some stages were damp and the Porsche found it difficult to get grip in certain places.

Steve Hendy upheld Brit honours in 8th with his Focus WRC and Dave Turnbull was 9th in his Subaru.
