Flying Finn rally driver Janne Tuohino takes a bold step in his rally career and with a makes a comeback to World Rally Championship series. Tuohino, living in Dubai, seeks success with M-Sport build brand new Ford Fiesta S2000 rally car in seven rounds of Teams and Production Cup series.

Decision for double Finnish Rally Champion returning to World Rally Championship was made possible by FIA decision to rule out the present World Rally Cars from World Rally Championship series and to step Super 2000 cars to their place from season 2011 on. Now in season 2010 Tuohino seeks new lift for his rally career with a completely new manufacturer build but privately run top rally car.

– After three years of absense from World Rally Championship I'll be returing to it. It was the best choice for me when considering the seats available in season 2011. I have lots of motivation with brand new Ford Fiesta S2000 rally car which is arriving to Finland in early January. Immediately I'll start test and developement work for the World Rally Championship series which starts in February, says Tuohino.

– Even I haven't driven the car for a one metre I've start preparing for the rally teams and drivers Championship series by improving my physics. Dubai roads and gyms have been in serious jogging use and after 17 years of pause I've also had a restart for my motocross hobby. It's a wonderfull way in short time to get yourself into sports shape, Tuohino continues.

– I'm very happy to help Janne in forthcoming ambitious rally season. It'll be a big challenge especially for me because I haven't got any experience from World Rally Championship events, excluding Rally Finland. I've also start preparing for maybe the most important rally season for Janne Tuohino. He can count on that I have 110% of energy when the season starts at Rally Sweden, said co-driver Markku Tuohino.

Teams and Production Cup includes 10 events. However before the season starts the teams and the drivers have to choose seven of ten rounds and two has to be overseas events. At the moment Tuohino is not sure which seven rounds he'll be driving.

– My season starts from Rally Sweden and for sure I'll be rallying in Jordania, Portugal, Finland and Wales. Furthermore one of Germany or France tarmac events is to be included in my rally career. Then I have to choose one from Meksico, New Zealand or Japan. A very hard decision, said Tuohino.
