Wilks vows to bounce back after Ypres disappointment

Guy Wilks has vowed to bounce back after his early exit from the Belgium Ypres Rally.

Double British champion Wilks and co-driver Phil Pugh were running 11th on their IRC debut in the factory-backed Proton Satria Super 2000.

 
But on the last corner of stage five, the 26km Hollebeke 2 test, they understeered into a ditch and hit a lump of concrete trying to get back on the road.

Feddy Loix reflects on Ypres Rally error

A Kronos Racing-prepared car again won the laurels at the Belgium Ypres Rally for its 2009 edition, but it was not one of the Peugeot Belgium-Luxemburg cars: the honours this year went to a just as deserving Kris Meeke, driving a 207 S2000 bearing Peugeot UK colours.

Skoda will contest IRC Rally Russia – Ypres review

Just like at the Azores Rally a few weeks ago, Skoda Auto’s factory team Skoda Motorsport came second at this weekend’s Ypres Rally in Belgium, thanks to an excellent performance put in by Jan Kopecky – Petr Stary. Furthermore, the other factory crew, Juho Hanninen and Mikko Markkula, finished fifth.
