The 2011 WRC calendar should be announced later this year

International Sportsworld Communicators CEO Simon Long has revealed to autosport.com that he expects to announce the 2011 WRC calendar later this year.
ISC, who are the WRC’s global promoter, see the 2011 calendar as a new beginning for the series, along also with the introduction of the latest technical regulations (which are to be fully implemented for the 2011 season) that will be ratified at next week’s WMSC meeting.

WRC proposed calendar for 2010

International Sportsworld Communicators, the global promoter of the WRC, have drawn up a list of 13 events for the 2010 World Rally Championship calendar, according to autosport.com.
The proposed calendar will be will be put forward to the FIA at next month’s World Motor Sport Council meeting in Paris and it is expected to be ratified because the event schedule is the responsibility of the promoter.

WRC set to stick with summer calendar as winter plans axed

The World Rally Championship’s global promoter (ISC) looks set to ditch plans for a winter calendar, according to Motorsport News.
Next year’s calendar is likely to consist of between 12 and 13 events run every three weeks between January and October with a break for the World Cup in the summer.
