The 2011 WRC calendar should be announced later this year

International Sportsworld Communicators CEO Simon Long has revealed to autosport.com that he expects to announce the 2011 WRC calendar later this year.
ISC, who are the WRC’s global promoter, see the 2011 calendar as a new beginning for the series, along also with the introduction of the latest technical regulations (which are to be fully implemented for the 2011 season) that will be ratified at next week’s WMSC meeting.

Rally Ireland organisers start planning for a fresh event in 2011

Rally Ireland bosses are planning to return to the WRC calendar in 2011, even though there are no guarantees that it will be part of the series, according to Motorsport News.

Loeb poised to extend contract with Citroen in the WRC until the end of 2011

Sebastien Loeb looks set to stay in the WRC with Citroen until the end of 2011, according to Motorsport News.
Citroen are reportedly on the verge of signing-off the budget to continue in the WRC beyond this season and sporting boss Olivier Quesnel is pushing to ensure Loeb stays with the team.
