Solberg: I could help Ford win the Manufacturers’ Championship

Stobart VK M-SPORT Ford team driver Henning Solberg believes that he can help the BP Ford team win the manufacturers’ title this year, if given a ’proper’ factory car, according to crash.net.

Solberg scored an excellent third overall in Poland, despite initially being unhappy with the set-up of his Ford Focus RS WRC, and reckons he could beat Citroen’s Dani Sordo in Finland if he had a full factory spec car..

Dani Sordo will stay at Citroen Sport for next year’s WRC season and won’t be replaced by Marcus Gronholm

Dani Sordo will see out his contract at Citroen next year and Marcus Gronholm will not replace him according to Citroen boss Olivier Quesnel in Autosport.

Quesnel told Autosport:

Marcus is welcolm here, but I’m afraid he would have to bring budget and drive in our M2 team! We have Dani on contract for 2009.”
