The Rothmans Escorts – Pure Sound – Video Tribute

Video clip of the Rothmans Escorts in action mainly from the British Open Rally Championship in the early ’80s.

Video of Marlboro Safari Rally 1985 – Juha Kankkunen and Fred Gallagher take rookie win

Rare French video footage of the 1985 Safari Rally where Juha Kankkunen and Fred Gallagher shocked the establishment to win in the Toyota Celica TC Turbo. 

The rally attracted the might of Audi, Lancia and Peugeot, but their supercars proved too fragile for the African marathon with Salonen the only one to finish out of the lot.
