In 1989 Jackie Stewart tested a Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 in France though the session didn’t quite go according to plan.
Stewart was expecting Ari Vatanen and Jacky Ickx to be in attendance, to advise him how to drive the 4WD, 4WS machine, but neither were present. He was accompanied be a senior engineer who didn’t really give him any feedback on how to control the vehicle.
