French rallies in the running to host WRC round in 2010

Six or seven rallies are believed to be in the running to host the French round of the World Rally Championship for 2010, according to GPweek.com.
A tendering process has been set up by the FFSA for the 2010 WRC slot, which has traditionally been hosted by the Tour de Corse. Event organisers wanting to secure the WRC have to assure the federation that they will have around 3 million euros of available budget.

Pierre Campana to contest 2009 Suzuki Rallye Cup in France

Up-and-coming Corsican driver Pierre Campana is to contest the highly-popular Suzuki Rallye Cup in France this year, which is backed by France’s motorsport federation, the FFSA.
Campana, who stunned World Championship regulars by finishing on the Junior World Rally Championship podium of the Tour de Corse last year, finished third in the 2008 Suzuki Cup, and he is aiming to do even better this year.
