Stephane Sarrazin and Brice Tirabassi could share a third works Subaru in the 2009 WRC

According to sources within Prodrive it appears that Stephane Sarrazin is not only planning a return to rallying in the IRC in Monte Carlo (in a Peugeot Sport 207), but is also hoping to be Subaru’s Duval – that is replace either Petter or more likely Atkinson on asphalt events to score manufacturer points.

Subaru could field up to five or six S14’s in the 2009 WRC
In an interview with wrc.com, Subaru’s Team director Richard Taylor admitted that there could be five or six Subaru World Rally Cars competing on next year’s WRC.

Brice Tirabassi has been confirmed for the third Subaru WRT seat in Rally Catalunya and Tour de Corse

It has been reported on www.wrcisfree.com from a French newspaper article that French ace Brice Tirabassi has been confirmed for the remaining asphalt rounds in a works Subaru Impreza S14 WRC. Tirabassi had just recently announced his withdrawal from this year’s IRC, due to reliability problems with his BSA Peugeot 207 S2000 and as a consequence only scored two points in the series.
