Alberto Hévia to contest remaining Spanish championship rallies in Skoda Fabia S2000

After the Fiat and Peugeot Spain teams cancelled their projects for 2009, the Spanish championship was reduced to the vehicles of the production and GT categories, being left without any S2000 cars contesting the championship this year.
Alberto Hévia however, is going to make a return to the Spanish asphalt championship with a brand new Skoda Fabia S2000 for Rally Ferrol at the end of August, according to his website.

Skoda will contest IRC Rally Russia – Ypres review

Just like at the Azores Rally a few weeks ago, Skoda Auto’s factory team Skoda Motorsport came second at this weekend’s Ypres Rally in Belgium, thanks to an excellent performance put in by Jan Kopecky – Petr Stary. Furthermore, the other factory crew, Juho Hanninen and Mikko Markkula, finished fifth.

Rally di San Marino 2009: Paolo Andreucci wins after setting fastest time on every stage
Paolo Andreucci (Peugeot 207 S2000) won the Rally di San Marino after posting fastest times on all 10 stages.
Luca Rossetti was second in his Abarth Grande Punto, on this the latest round of the Italian rally championship. Emanuele Dati claimed a hotly contested third spot in a private Fiat Punto S2000.
