The Grande Punto Abarth S2000 of Luca Rossetti and Matteo Chiarcossi won the 93rd Targa Florio, a round of the Italian Rally Championship.

The first round of the European Rally Championship (ERC) 2009 takes place in Italy for the Rally 1000 Miglia. Known more famously around the world as the “Mille Miglia”, this famous race was first run in 1927 to 1957 from Brescia to Rome and back, and now it is run as a stage event, WRITES EVAN ROTHMAN.

Abarth announce driver line up for 2009 of Basso, Alen, Scandola and new signing Rossetti

Abarth have announced their driver line up today in Turin for the 2009 season according to autoklub.pl.
Giandomenico Basso, Anton Alen, Umberto Scandola and new signing, ERC and CIR 2008 champ, Luca Rossetti. They will all drive Abarth Grande Punto S2000’s during 2009.
Alen and Basso will again contest the IRC in ‘09. Scandola and Rossetti will compete in next season’s CIR with the possibility of doing some IRC events starting with Rallye… Continue reading
