Solberg: I could help Ford win the Manufacturers’ Championship

Stobart VK M-SPORT Ford team driver Henning Solberg believes that he can help the BP Ford team win the manufacturers’ title this year, if given a ’proper’ factory car, according to crash.net.
Solberg scored an excellent third overall in Poland, despite initially being unhappy with the set-up of his Ford Focus RS WRC, and reckons he could beat Citroen’s Dani Sordo in Finland if he had a full factory spec car..

BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team driver Mikko Hirvonen has won the 66 ORLEN Platinum Rally Poland 2009 and now moves into the lead of the World Rally Championship for the first time this season.

WRC Poland SS16: Ogier stopped – Novikov instructed by Citroen team to slow

Citroen Junior Team driver Sebastien Ogier has stopped on SS16 of Rally Poland 2009 with an engine problem affecting his Citroen C4 WRC.
World Rally Radio report that Ogier has stopped 2km into the stage with the car suffering a complete loss of power.
Ogier was lying in fourth place and was involved in a close battle for the position with Henning and Petter Solberg. The Frenchman wasn’t nominted to score manufacturer points on this event.
