With Gigi Galli out for what appears the rest of the season, who will sit in for him on NZ and Japan, Marcus Gronholm?

With Gigi out for a long time after his serious accident in Germany, where he sustained a broken left femur, Malcolm Wilson has to make a quick decision on who will replace him for Rally New Zealand, and then Japan will also need to be considered.

In the frame for the Stobart seat would appear to be several names, some more likely than others. Here is a list of possible candidates:

Gigi Galli is recovering well and should be out of hospital on Wednesday

Gigi was visited in hospital by his Ford teammates and also by Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo, all dressed up in their fireproof underwear to cheer Gigi up.

Galli is expected to leave hospital on Wednesday following a successful operation on his broken left femur sustained in a frightening, flat out in 6th gear, crash during Rallye Deutschland. He is expected to be out of action… Continue reading

Martin Prokop is being linked to a Skoda Fabia S2000 for the PWRC 2009

According to Czech sources, Martin Prokop is believed to be going to campaign a Fabia Super 2000 in next year’s PCWRC. Prokop has admitted that he wants to drive an S2000 car in the 2009 PWRC and it appears his choice will be the Skoda.
