News from Pioneer Rally Japan 2008: Stages cancelled for Friday plus photos and videos from Shakedown

The first day of Rally Japan has had stages cancelled by snow that has fallen over the last few days. Special Stage 3/7 has therefore been cancelled for safety reasons.
The 13.67km Isepo section was to be run twice on Friday and was the longest of the day. Instead, competitors will follow an alternate road section to the start of the Pipaoi SS4/8 test. The rest of Friday’s stages remain unchanged.

Armchair Guide to Pioneer Rally Japan 2008: Time and Distance Schedule and Refuel stop details
This years PIONEER Carrozzeria Rally Japan (31/10 – 2/11/08) is based in Sapporo with a gravel surface. This year the rally has 29 – yes 29 stages with 27 in 2007. Japan is GMT +9. The 2007 winner was Mikko Hirvonen in a Ford Focus WRC.
