90 crews had registered their intention to participate in Neste Oil Rally Finland at the close of entries. That is the highest number so far in any WRC qualifying round this year. The number of World Rally Cars in the list also equals this season´s record.

Kimi Raikkonen will compete on Neste Oil Rally Finland 2009

Kimi Raikkonen will compete on the World Rally Championship Rally Finland in his Abarth Grande Punto S2000, according to autosport.com.

This will be Raikkonen’s first rally on gravel in the Tommi Makinen Racing Fiat and he completed a two day test on the surface last week. It will also be his debut on a WRC event after having contested three national championship status rallies so far this year

Matti Rantanen to drive Munchi’s Ford Focus WRC on Rally Finland 2009

THREE CAR MUNCHI’S TEAM FOR NESTE OIL RALLY FINLAND

Matti Rantanen is to drive a Munchi’s World Rally Team Ford Focus RS WRC on Rally Finland which takes place in August.

Rantanen had a great result last year on his home WRC round when he finished seventh in a privately entered Ford Focus WRC.
