This years Rally New Zealand has been cancelled due to the current economic climate – as reported on www.tvnz.co.nz

Repco Rally NZ Day 1 Video: Seb Loeb’s starter-motor failed on the penultimate stage?

Sebastien Loeb’s starter motor failed on day one of Rally New Zealand 2008 and in turn collected a 30s penalty for booking in 3mins late. But does Loeb’s reaction look genuine?

Seb and the team denied there were any tactics on day one but conceded they used them on day 2, to gain a better road position, but were angered at having to resort to them.

Repco Rally New Zealand 2008 Results Day One: Hirvonen leads as Loeb has problems on penultimate stage?

After the first day of Rally NZ Mikko Hirvonen to lead Sebastien Loeb by just under 30s. Hirvonen had built up a lead in the morning as the Fords benefitted from their road position.
