West Cork Hotel Skibbereen Fastnet Stages Rally 2008 Results: Liam McCarthy wins in his Toyota Corolla WRC
Liam McCarthy recorded his third victory on the Fastnet Stages after winning the event previously in 1988 and 1992.
McCarthy took the lead on stage one and generally took command of the rally extending his advantage on each stage. Alan Ring (Mitsubishi) finished second though was under pressure initially from Shaun Gallagher in his Citroen C2 S1600.

Circuit of Ireland Rally 2009 could be based in Dundalk, Co. Louth
It is believed the two day Circuit of Ireland Rally 2009 scheduled for 11/12 April is heading southward and may be based in Dundalk, Co. Louth. The UAC run rally will be round two of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.

Aaron Burkart has entered the Skibbereen Fastnet Stages Rally 2008 in his C2 S1600 in preparation for Rally Ireland
JWRC star Aaron Burkart has entered the Fastnet Stages Rally in his Citroen C2 S1600 in preparation for Rally Ireland in Jan 09.
