Irish Tarmac Rally Championship changes in format following TROA meeting and 2009 Championship dates

As current Champion Eamonn Boland brings the 2008 Global Group Irish Tarmac Rally Championship to a conclusion on the Murphy Construction Cork 20 Rally later this month changes are already being set in place for the 2009 Championship. Keith Cronin has been selected for the WRC Pirelli Star Driver shoot-out as Ireland’s representative

Motorsport Ireland, the governing body of motorsport in Ireland, has selected Keith Cronin, the current Billy Coleman Award winner, as its candidate for the Pirelli Star Driver scheme, which will give five young rally drivers the opportunity of competing in a series of six World Championship Rallies in 2009.
