Mark Higgins on the limit in the MG S2000 video clip during the Plains Rally
Mark Higgins scored a tremendous second place overall today on the Plains Rally against some stiff world rally car opposition.
Marcus Dodd won the event in his Hyundai WRC but was only 12secs ahead of Higgins in the BGM MG Super 2000. Geoff Jones brought his Focus WRC home third ahead of Hugh Hunter in another Focus and Shaun Gardner finished fifth in his Evo 5.

Mark Higgins on the Coracle Stages rally 2008 in the MG super 2000
Higgins was competing at the weekend in the Bill Gwynne Rallyschool and Motorsport Coracle Stages 2008 driving his MG S2000. Higgins won the event to record the MG S2000’s first outright victory.

Mark Higgins to contest IRC rounds in Spain and Switzerland driving the MG S2000
Mark Higgins will compete in the Rallye Principe de Asturias on 11-13 September and the Schweiz Rally du Valais on 24-25 October driving the BGM, MG ZR S2000. After an encouraging performance in Ypres, where the car was regularly setting top ten times before it’s retirement with power steering failure on SS14, the team intend to contest the two IRC rounds.
