Mark Higgins in the BGM MG S2000 will contest the ADAC 3-Stadte-Rallye instead of Rally du Valais

Mark Higgins will now contest a round of the German Rallye Masters series in October instead of the Rally du Valais as originally planned in the Bill Gwynne Motorsport MG S2000.
Team boss Ian Gwynne was quoted in Motorsport News:
We’ve got a sponsor on board and it’s another chance to get into Europe and show what the car can do.”

Mark Higgins on the limit in the MG S2000 video clip during the Plains Rally

Mark Higgins scored a tremendous second place overall today on the Plains Rally against some stiff world rally car opposition.
Marcus Dodd won the event in his Hyundai WRC but was only 12secs ahead of Higgins in the BGM MG Super 2000. Geoff Jones brought his Focus WRC home third ahead of Hugh Hunter in another Focus and Shaun Gardner finished fifth in his Evo 5.

Stuart Jones plans to contest the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge in his MSD MG S2000

Stuart Jones hopes to contest next year’s IRC by raising funds through a deal struck with his existing sponsor Lico, according to Motorsport News.
His family run SJR Motorsport team distributes Lico products and 10% of all sales will go towards raising the £250,000 required to enter the IRC series. Jones will continue to use the MSD MG S2000 he has driven in this year in the BRC.
