Mark Higgins and Lynn Newby win Greenerways Rally

Sunday’s Greenerways Rally took the Eco Tyre project a step further, Mark Higgins (pictured above on the Jim Clark) and Lynn Newby leading the event which went some way to simulate a full rally traversing a forest stage.

Stuart Jones plans to contest the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge in his MSD MG S2000

Stuart Jones hopes to contest next year’s IRC by raising funds through a deal struck with his existing sponsor Lico, according to Motorsport News.
His family run SJR Motorsport team distributes Lico products and 10% of all sales will go towards raising the £250,000 required to enter the IRC series. Jones will continue to use the MSD MG S2000 he has driven in this year in the BRC.

Stuart Jones is concentrating on the British Rally Championship for the rest of the year in the MG super 2000
MG driver Stuart Jones states the team will focus on the BRC for the rest of the season. Jones was speaking to Crash radio and states he is going to try and win the championship. The team had contemplated a trip to Rally Germany but that dosen’t appear likely as all efforts and budget are going towards the BRC assault.
