 Jonny Hawthorne from Northern Ireland was part of the McRae Gathering and very kindly donated photographs to RallyBuzz of his experiences from Lanark to Banbury. Jonny is a proud Subaru owner and is also a member in the Northern Ireland region of the British Motorsport Marshals Club.

McRae Gathering 2008 breaks two Guinness Book World Records

According to sources the Colin McRae Gathering broke two Guinness World Records. The first was for the most cars by a single marque to make up a picture for a photograph and beat the previous record by over 800 cars. Colin McRae Gathering 2008: Convoy from Lanark to Banbury 30-31st August, more videos plus aerial photograph of the mosaic

Youtube videos of the convoy on it’s way to, and at, Banbury where around 1000+ Subarus will have joined to form the biggest convoy by a single marque.
