McRae Gathering 2008 breaks two Guinness Book World Records
According to sources the Colin McRae Gathering broke two Guinness World Records. The first was for the most cars by a single marque to make up a picture for a photograph and beat the previous record by over 800 cars. Colin McRae Gathering runs from Lanark to Banbury on August 30th
The McRae Gathering has been organised to commemorate Colin’s time at Subaru and also Prodrive’s first WRC win with Subaru in New Zealand 1993. Fittingly Colin McRae scored that win in a Subaru Legacy RS and Prodrive wanted to mark the occasion with the McRae Gathering organisers.
