World Rally Car S2000+ technical details announced following WMSC meeting
The new WRC technical regulations were rubber stamped today at the World Motor Sport Council meeting today.
As expected the new World Rally Cars will be based on the S2000 formula which will include an added bolt-on kit of performance parts.
The bolt-on kit of performance parts regulations have been altered from what had been originally considered, and there will now be no electronic benefits, or similar upgrades, permitted to keep costs down.

Max Mosley will attend Jordan Rally despite ongoing furore
Mosley has vowed to attend Rally Jordan despite the controversy over the alleged Nazi sex scandal and his position as FIA President. Mosley has been invited by HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussien, chairman of Jordan motorsports.

RallyIstanbul latest + WMSC meeting tomorrow to ratify WRC blueprint
Not long to go and entry should be out tomorrow. Panizzi looks set to drive a Punto s2000, should expect around 15-20 S2000’s on list. Shaping up to be a great championship this year and difficult to pick a winner. Series looks set to rival WRC, although FIA keen to avoid conflict with many WRC events set to become IRC events on their year out of rotational calendar.
