Tour de Corse 1985: Jean Ragnotti wins tragic event in the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo
The 1985 Rothmans Tour de Corse would prove to be a tragic affair after the fatal crash of Attilio Bettega on SS4 (Zerubia) of the event.
Bettega hit a tree on the Lancia Rally 037’s driver’s side and was killed instantly while his co-driver Maurizio Perissinot survived uninjured. The Lancia team (Massimo Biasion and Markku Alen) immediately withdrew from the event.
