Clare Stages Rally 2008: Results stand following a meeting of the event stewards last night

Patrick Elliott (pictured above) and Paul Goodman were declared the winners of the Clare Stages 08 following a hearing last night.

Their win on Sunday was only provisional following a protest from another competitor alleging they booked into a time control 9 minutes early. With the protest being overthrown it now means that Paul Goodman is the 2008 Irish National co-driving champion.

Clare Stages Rally 2008 Provisional Results: National Champion Patrick Elliott wins but his victory is protested

Patick Elliott was the provisional winner of the Clare Stages Rally after a protest alleged he entered a time control at SS5 9 minutes early. Event stewards are investigating the allegation and a decision will be made in due course, according to rallynews.net.
