Petter Solberg has been made the Ambassador of The Rally d’Italia Sardinia 2009. During the week leading up to this weekend’s rally Solberg staged a show on the gravel roads in the San Giacomo area for the local people.

Rallye des 1000 Pistes 1984 (Mille Pistes) video
The Mille Pistes was an event held in Canjuers (Provence, France), on military tank tracks, with Henri Toivonen winning the 1984 rally in dominant fashion driving a Porsche 911 SC RS.
Entrants in 1984 included Bernard Darniche (Yacco sponsored quattro), Jean Ragnotti (Renault 5 Turbo), Bruno Saby (R5 Turbo), Guy Frequelin (Opel Manta 400), Francois Chatriot (R5 Turbo), Erwin Webber (Opel Manta 400), Dany Snobeck (R5 Turbo), Jean Luc Therier (R5 Turbo).
