Conor McCloskey won’t defend his Northern Irish title in 2009 as he wants to contest gravel events in England and Scotland, according to Motorsport News.

The final round of the Northern Ireland Rally Championship, the Glens of Antrim Rally, will be on tarmac and hopes to use classic stages such as Torr Head, Glendun and Orra Lodge.
