Petter Solberg went to Japan last Friday to discuss the Subaru situation with Fuji Heavy Industries

Petter Solberg and Phil Mills were in Japan at the weekend to meet with Subaru’s parent company Fuji Heavy Industries to discuss the current situation, according to wrc.com.
Petter commented about the visit to wrc.com:

Subaru statement from press conference in Tokyo regarding pulling out of the WRC

Fuji Heavy Industries took the decision to pull out of the WRC on Saturday 13th December according to wrc.com.
The reasons given for the withdrawal were the economic downturn and that the sporting and commercial goals set out by the company had been achieved.
