French rallies in the running to host WRC round in 2010

Six or seven rallies are believed to be in the running to host the French round of the World Rally Championship for 2010, according to GPweek.com.

A tendering process has been set up by the FFSA for the 2010 WRC slot, which has traditionally been hosted by the Tour de Corse. Event organisers wanting to secure the WRC have to assure the federation that they will have around  3 million euros of available budget.

Patrick Henry took his second French championship rally win in a row after taking the 43rd RALLYE RÉGION LIMOUSIN VASSIVIÈRE in his Peugeot 307 WRC.
