Speaking in a joint statement from Citroën Racing, both Sébastien Loeb and the team have moved to quell recent press speculation that the five-time world champion will be leaving the WRC for an F1 drive.

Olivier Quesnel is to take up the new role as director of both Citroen Sport and Peugeot Sport from 1st January 2009, according to wrc.com.
Quesnel has been director of Citroen Sport since January 2008 and was involved in the setting up of Peugeot Talbot Sport with Jean Todt in 1980.

Sebastien Loeb and Stephane Sarrazin swapped cars on the 27 November at Peugeot’s test facility at Castellet. Below is a video by Motors TV of Loeb in the Peugeot 908 HDi LMS car.
Loeb was lapping within a second of Sarrazin around the circuit and endurance racing is considered Loeb’s likely career after the WRC.
