Dakar 2010: Argentina to host again as event visits the Atacama desert in Chile

The organisers unveiled this morning the stage cities of the 2010 Dakar that will be welcomed for the second consecutive year by Argentina and by Chile. The two countries have decided to start the year of the festivities of the bicentennial of their independence with the Dakar that will precisely take off from Buenos Aires on the 1st of January for an 8600km journey (around 5200kms

Nasser Al-Attiyah driving his BMW X3CC was fastest by over two minutes on the first stage, Buenos Aires - Santa Rosa de la Pampa, of the Dakar 2009.

Team Overdrive will have three cars competing on Dakar ‘09

The relatively young Overdrive team is run by Gregoire de Mevius and Jean-Marc Fortin. Polish driver Krzysztof Holowczyc  was second for the team in the FIA World Cup Cross-Coutry, and the FIA Baja Cup this year.

Gradually, the small team based in Gembloux built a up a reliable and ultimately successful season. The experience gained by Gregoire de Mevius in the world rally
