Rene Kuipers finishes 18th overall on Dakar 2009

Rene Kuipers and Filipe Palmeiro finished the toughest Dakar Rally ever, the 2009 edition, in their Norit sponsored BMW X3CC of the factory team BMW X-Raid. The duo which had not been together in a car before the start of the rally on January 3rd had an amazing drive during the last special stage of the rally and finished the stage in 7th position, the best

Giniel de Villiers won the Dakar Rally 2009 for Volkswagen on Saturday after the final Santa Fé  brought the event to an end.
