Cork ‘20′ Rally 1985 video: Austin McHale wins in Opel Manta 400

Austin McHale (Opel Manta 400) won the 1985 Uniroyal Cork 20 Rally to beat Billy Coleman (Porsche 911 SCRS) on homeground and win the Irish tarmac championship for the second time.
There was some controversy with the result as the Rothmans team claimed they were unaware that McHale had been faster than Coleman, by almost 30 seconds, on the Lough Alloa stage during the second day of the rally. McHale’s Dealer Opel Team Ireland Manta had started the stage one… Continue reading

Murphy Construction Cork 20 International Rally 2008 Entry List: Both Gareth and Aaron MacHale entered so could Austin be 00 in the Corsa Super 2000?

The entry list for the Cork 20 Rally has just been published and it boasts a quality field for the event which takes place on the 27-28 September. At no.1 is Gareth MacHale in his 06 Focus followed by the 2008 ITC champion Eamonn Boland at 2.
