Current IRC champion Kris Meeke, from Dungannon in Northern Ireland, has been announced as the 2009 Autosport Rookie of the Year.
Meeke, who received his trophy from former F1 driver David Coulthard, beat Jaime Alguersuari, Romain Grosjean, Sebastien Buemi, Nico Hulkenberg, Rafael Matos, Sebastien Ogier, Daniel Ricciardo and Alexander Sims to claim the award.
