Subaru team principle Dave Richards has confirmed to Motorsport News that the squad's updated Impreza WRC 2008 - codenamed the S15 - will break cover early next season.
Richards stated that the new car would represent a marked improvement on this season's model.
Richards commented to MN:
Dampers are fundamentally the key area (where we have had problems) and that's the area of the car we have to continue our improvement on.
I'm not going into the detail but the S15 does have a lot of improvements to it. With a brand new car, you're likely to get it 95 per cent right, the rest requires fine tuning, which we will do."
