Sebastien Ogier may contest Wales Rally GB 08 in a Citroen C4 WRC

Sebastien Ogier wants to make the step up to a World Rally Car soon and may contest Rally GB in a C4 WRC, though nothing has been confirmed according to crash.net. 

Ogier has just been crowned JWRC champion in his debut year in the series and has won many plaudits. Praise has come from current world champion Sebastien Loeb who hopes Ogier can progress and do well in the WRC.

Ogier was quoted by crash.net about the possibility of a WRC drive on GB:

You need to ask my boss. Maybe on Rally GB but for the moment it's not certain.

I do hope to do that event but I don't know in what car yet! For the future though, for sure we want to go in the WRC as soon as possible."

Citroen boss Olivier Quesnel added that a decision may be made this week:

We are going to see. First we wanted him to be Junior champion. He is now and now we are going to see this week what can happen with him.

We are very happy to have him with Citroen Sport. It's very hard to find something good for him though. We want him to become a great driver.

Sébastien and Julien have performed very well this year, but they have still got a big learning curve ahead of them. This is just one step towards a possible career in the sport. We will look to see in what ways Citroen and the FFSA can help them."
