S-Tec Motorsport’s Donie O’Sullivan pleased with the Proton Satria Neo Super 2000 after the recent Cork test

Donie O'Sullivan of S-Tec Motorsport (Irish partner with MEM) stated to rallynews.net that things went very well with the Mellors Elliot Motorsport Proton Satria S2000 during a two day test in Cork last week.
O'Sullivan commented to rallynews.net:
It's a beautiful car on the road, but you have to really drive it, it doesn't have all the electronics and gadgets of a world rally car. The chassis is very rewarding, the Renault engine is strong. There is the X-trac box, Dynamics suspension, and the brakes are the same as the WRC cars, but of course the car is a lot lighter so has massive stopping power.
The car will cost a bit less than €250,000 and we will carry a full back-up package. We will also do hire deals. The costs are not far removed from running a top GpN car, and a lot less than a WRC car.
It is our idea to have the car available, although it will take time to get some out competing. Perhaps by next week we will have some more news, there is a chance there will be one out in Galway."
O'Sullivan plans to run the machines as a business next year, though precise details of who will drive them, or what events/championships they will contest, have yet to be confirmed.
