German driver Horst Rotter will eventually get to drive the MSD Opel Corsa Super 2000 as course car at the ADAC 3rd Storndorf rallyesprint on 14-15 November, according to rallye-magazin.de.
Rotter was scheduled to use the MSD machine on Rally Germany in August but the car wasn't ready at the time.
Rotter commented:
Of course I am happy, to be able to present the Corsa in front of my home audience and I would like to thank my sponsors Auto-Deppe, Jürgen Stehr and Pirelli, without whose support this event would not be possible."
The Opel Corsa S2000 made it's first public appearance at the Cork "20" Rally being driven as course car by Irish legend Austin MacHale who has been reported as having purchased a sizeable stake in MSD.
The car was homologated on the 1st October but it is not known yet where it will make it's competitive debut though Gareth MacHale may use it on the Galway Rally or even Monte Carlo in Jan 09.
