RAF Marham Richard Burns Memorial Rally 2008 Entry and Preview: Markko Martin says he is going to “put on a show” in the Subaru S14 WRC

Markko Martin has promised to put on a show in the Subaru S14 WRC on this weekend's Richard Burns Memorial Rally at RAF Marham in Norfolk. Speaking to Motorsport News Martin says he will drive as quickly as possible but that taking part will mean more to him than winning.
Martin spoke to Motorsport News about taking part:
I will treat it like any other rally and certainly wont be driving slowly. But winning or not winning makes no difference to me. The main thing is that Robert and I are doing the event to raise money for such an important cause.I'm not sure of the layout and I've never driven at an airfield before. But the car felt good when I drove it on asphalt before although that was on mountain roads. The closest event to compare this to will be Rally Germany because of all the junctions we'll have to negotiate."
Robert Reid will of course be sitting with Martin and he is a bit apprehensive about sitting in a WRCar again, as he told Motorsport News:
Emotionally it's not going to be the easiest thing to do. Before I stopped, I was having issues with my back. I'm not going to injure myself driving round an airfield for a day and a half but I'm not as fit as I used to be.But it's going to be fun and accessible for the fans and great for the other drivers who will be able to take on Markko."
Martin sampled the S14 on the asphalt roads of Italy. RAF Marham will be slightly different!
