RallyRUS Company featuring Rally Free Motion magazine announces the XII RallyRUS international rally photo contest!
Great rally season 2008 is coming to its end. Winners and champions have already got their
trophies in most of the national championships, as mud, water and wind begin to clean rally
tracks, as if there have never been any rally cars, making deep ruts, going sideways, throwing
dust and stones all around, fascinating spectators with an enormous amount of adrenaline and
action. It's getting more and more silent on narrow forest roads and twisty mountain sections,
where performance engines roar less come to the end of the season...
Now, on the eve of RallyRUS corporate birthday (November 23rd), the time has come to
recollect the most thrilling moments of rally season 2008. It's time to select the best of those
who stand, sit or lie along special stages under hail of stones and dust from cars rushing by,
who are freezing in cold and melting in hot weather, who are waiting for hours just to take
an instant photo. So, dear rally photographers: here is your chance to triumph!
We invite you to take part in the contest, no matter what country you are from or what rally
series you are working at. There're six nominations, which give you every chance to demonstrate
your talent.
Cat. 1. «Rally 2008 Champion»
Photos of the winners of ALL rally championships (including national and regional) throughout
the world in 2008. Photos of the world champion are also accepted provided there was a chance
to take a photo of Sebastien Loeb "in action".
Cat. 2. «Rally 2008 International»
We expect the most striking, dynamic and exciting photos taken at any rally OUTSIDE Russia in
2008.
Cat. 3. «Rally 2008 Russia»
Thrilling and dynamic photos taken at RUSSIAN national rally events in 2008. Photos from IRC
Rally Russia 2008 (including non-IRC entries) are also accepted.
Cat. 4. «RallyRUS 2008 Teams»
Photos of TEAMS-PARTNERS of RallyRUS, taken in 2008. You can see the list of teamspartners
of RallyRUS from the front page of our web-site (www.rallyrus.spb.ru). We remind you
that the crews of our teams-partners performed in the WRC, on national rally rounds, as well as
on rounds of the national championships of Estonia, Latvia and Finland.
Cat. 5. «Rolf Cup 2008» (A special national series, introduced in Russia for Mitsubishi crews)
All MITSUBISHI crews, who competed in Russia and photos of the Super-Mega "Volga" car
driven by two bosses of the Rolf Cup - Dmitry Bolysov and Natalia Donelli.
Cat. 6. «Candid Camera» All funny moments all over the world.
*The organisers of the photo contest reserve the right to award particularly outstanding
authors with special prizes and presents.
REGULATIONS
Graphics. Images should be in electronic format, in JPEG, resolution - 72 dpi, size 800х600
dots, up to 200 кB. Photos not meeting these requirements will not be accepted but if there is a
need RallyRUS experts will advice how to prepare images for dispatching. The use of Photoshop
and other analogues programs is permitted subject to a change of an image size, framing,
correction of colors, exposition and definition. Collages and made up images are not accepted.
Quantity. Each author can send not more than 3 (three) photos for each nomination.
Signature. An author should communicate his name and surname, name of a country he
represents, contact telephone and E-mail, name of each image sent for the contest. Names of
images should be in Russian or in Russian by Latin letters or in English. Works without names
of authors and countries are not accepted.
Other. Traditionally there are accepted images taken by film and digital cameras and by cameras
in mobile phones.
