Rallye du Mont-Blanc Morzine 2008 Results: Dany Snobeck wins in his Bozian Peugeot 307 WRC

On the 60th Rallye Mont Blanc Morzine 62 year old Danny Snobeck claimed victory to score another win this season on a French asphalt championship round. Snobeck won the event in his Bozian 307 WRC by mainly staying out of trouble unlike his rivals.

Alex Bengue took the initial lead in his Team Yacco 307 but he hit a rock on SS5 causing a double puncture and ripping a wheel off. Bengue's teammate Ludovic Gal inherited the lead only to lose it with a puncture on SS9 but he managed to finish the rally in 2nd place. Eric Mauffrey retired his 307 with gearbox trouble on the first leg.

Eric Brunson in a Subaru S8 WRC had problems with tyre choice and engine maladies which left him way off the pace. Olivier Marty took an excellent 3rd o/a in his Renault Megane Maxi from an entry which boasted 11 WRCs.

I had a good feeling of entry with a good car. I was fairly accurate with my notes. We have not experienced any trouble and didn't make any big mistakes. It is a great victory. Quite honestly, I do not think about the championship but we will talk with Gilles and the Bozian team."
