Martin Prokop will be taking to the stages of this year's Rally Ireland with Czech co-driver Jan Tomanek in his Citroen C2 S1600.

1. What is your date of birth?

4th October 1982

 

2. What is your Nationality?

Czech

 

3. When and where was your First rally?

2001 Rally Vysocina

 

4. What are your ambitions for 2009?

The JWRC title

 

5. Do you have any hobbies and what are they?

Sport activities and flying

 

 

6. What was your first car?

   Skoda Felicia

 

7. How did you get into rallying?

I started my first rally without any previous experience in motorsport, but I was lucky that one of our family friend's is a very successful rally driver and he helped me at the beginning.

 

8. Best gift given to you by a sponsor or fan?

From Citroen SPORT driving the Xsara and C4 WRC

 

9. Most drivers have a lucky mascot or lucky thing – do you have one and what is it and why?

I have a ritual before the start of every SS. I try to make everything I do before the start have the same sequence, like fixing my driving gloves, helmet etc. as it keeps me concentrated.

 

10. Person you most admire?

My family, thanks to their support I can fulfill my racing dreams…
