Between this years Rally Japan and Wales RallyGB, RallyBuzz talks to the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team's Mikko Hirvonen and his co-driver Jarmo Lehtinen. Ford could win the Manufactures Championship on Wales Rally GB in December.

1. What is your date of birth?
31 July 1980
2. What is your nationality?
Finnish
3. Where do you live?
Jyvaskyla, Finland
4. What is your marital status?
Engaged to Karoliina
5. When was your first rally?
1998
6. And when was your WRC debut?
2002 Rally Finland
7. Do you have any hobbies?
Building cars, watching movies, spending time with my children
8. What was your first car?
Fiat 127
9. What car do you drive now?
Ford Cortina and a Mondeo Estate for the family
10. How did you get into rallying?
My father was a rally driver and from a very young age that was what I wanted to do. There were always cars at home that I could drive and I would drive them on the frozen lake next to our house
11. What is your favourite music and group?
Airborn at the moment
12. If you were not a Rally Driver what would you be?
I would build cars. I do that at home anyway, but I'd do it full time
13. What is your favourite rally and why?
Finland because it's my home rally in my home town. Or Sweden because I love driving on snow and ice
14. And your least favourite rally and why?
Cyprus because it's so slow, no speed no enjoyment in that at all
15. What is the best gift given to you by a sponsor or fan?
I like it when fans make a real effort and draw a paint something of your car – there's some amazing ones. I have them all at home
16. What was the last movie you saw and did you like it?
Indiana Jones – bit disappointing because of too many special effects
17. Most drivers have a lucky mascot or lucky thing – do you have one and what is it and why?
Jarmo!
18. What is your favourite place in the world?
home
19. Who is the person you most admire?
My father
20. And finally, what is your ambition for 2009?
To be World Rally Champion

Music and sports

It was a Toyota Corolla model 77
9. And what car do you drive now?
Ford Mondeo Estate
10. How did you get into rallying?
My father used to take me and a friend to watch rallies when we were kids and we became addicted! As soon as we were old enough we got into a rally car and never looked back!
11. What is your favourite music and group?
AC/DC, Nightwish, Basically all hard rock!
12. If you were not a Rally co driver what would you be?
A drummer or an ice hockey player
13. What is your favourite rally and why?
Rally Finland because it's my home event.
14. And your least favourite rally?
Germany
15. What is the best gift given to you by a sponsor or fan?
Mikko gets the gifts, not me!
16. What was the last movie you saw and did you like it?
Dark Knight and I loved it
