Rally of Scotland 2009: Entry List – M-Sport Fiesta S2000 to run as course car

The entry list for the inaugural RAC MSA Rally of Scotland has been released and it sees 34 crews set for the IRC season finale.

IRC champion Kris Meeke heads the list for his homecoming event in the Peugeot UK 207 S2000, with Brit rival Guy Wilks at number 2 in a Skoda UK supported Fabia S2000 making the rally very much a 'Battle of Britain' affair.

Newly crowned BRC champion Keith Cronin is at #3 in a Procar run Abarth Punto S2000, while BFGoodrich Drivers' Team winner Adam Gould is at #4. SRC title winner David Bogie rounds off the top five in a Ralliart supported Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.

Austrian Franz Wittmann (Evo IX) is next up, followed by Jonny Greer (Evo IX), Dave Weston Junior (Impreza STI), Ali Fisher (Evo IX) and Alister McRae in the works Proton Satria Neo S2000.

Other notable Irish entries include Eamonn Boland (Evo X), 2009 star Craig Breen (Fiesta R2) and Barry Greer (Fiesta ST). Martin Brady will be co-driving for rapid Icelandic driver Daniel Sigurdarson in an Evo X.

Young German driver Tim Stebani is entered in an MSD Opel Corsa OPC S2000 after successfully tackling the recent Lausitz Rally, where he finished 6th overall in the car.

Meanwhile, autosport.com have reported that M-Sport will give the new Ford Fiesta S2000 its first public outing on Rally of Scotland with the machine running as course car. Matthew Wilson is expected to drive the Super 2000 car.

Also, Jimmy McRae will run as course car in the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS he took to victory on the 1988 Scottish Rally.
