The Intercontinental Rally Challenge will be welcomed back to Vyborg when the Rally Russia takes place on July 9-11.
Host city Vyborg is a vibrant and cosmopolitan place to be, 130km northwest of St. Petersburg, and ideally fits the IRC's ethos. A historic trading town at the head of Vyborg Bay, opening onto the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea, Vyborg is also a major industrial centre for paper production and a thriving leisure and tourism destination.
With its picturesque architecture and landmarks such as Castle, the Round Tower and Viipuri Library as a backdrop to a thriving social and cultural scene, Vyborg is the ideal destination for the IRC crews, media and fans. The Rally Russia joins the annual Russian Film Festival known as the 'Window to Europe' as key dates on the calendar.
With a picturesque host city and the promise of traditional gruelling gravel stages for the competition, the Rally Russia is sure to be an event to savour.
