WRC Rally Ireland 2009 will also be a round of the Junior World Rally Championship

Rally Ireland 2009 is set to be a counting round of the JWRC, as well as the WRC, according to the FIA press release today, following the WMSC meeting. This will be the first time Rally Ireland has hosted the JWRC as was a round of the PWRC in 2007.

Rally Ireland 2009 is scheduled to take place on the 28 Jan-1st Feb 2009. It was announced on the official website that plans are at an advanced stage to launch the 2009 WRC from Stormont the weekend before the rally. Details will be released in the coming weeks. The Stormont event will be managed by former co-driver Bobby Willis.
