Preview of this weekends Richard Burns Memorial Rally

Returning for its second year, this weekend's (15th and 16 August) Richard Burns Memorial Rally at RAF Marham in Norfolk will see 92 crews take part in the the event based over two days.

Spectator tickets are available on the gate at £10 for each day with children under 16 go free and free on site parking. A concessionary price of £5 is available for MOD pass holders with display of Service passes on the gate. Gates will open at 7am each day with the following attractions have been confirmed.

Tornado Static Display.
RB5 / RB 320 Owners Club.
Porshe Owner Club.
MG Owners Club.
Scooby City Owners.
Tyre cutting Display.
Fairground Rides.
Catering Stands.
RAF Exhibitions.
Trade Stands.
Silverstone Rally School.
Driving Simulators.

Working in partnership with personnel from RAF Marham, the Kings Lynn & District Motor Club will transform the stations runways and link roads into over 100 miles of competitive stages. Improvements for 2009 include spectator viewing access to the paddock area where the teams will carry out their rapid servicing and emergency repairs.

Dave TV's Neil Cole will be co-driving for Tom Cave in his Ford Fiesta ST. Mark Higgins will be in his Aston Martin Vantage, with Alan Thistlethwaite in another Vantage. They are joined by 1 Audi, 2 BMW's, 4 Citroen's, 2 Darrian's, 26 Ford's, 1 Hillman, 1 Litton, 1 Lotus, 3 MG's, 5 Mitsubishi's, 1 Morris Mini's, 4 Nissan's, 10 Peugeot's, 2 Renault's, 1 Rover, 1 Skoda, 11 Subaru's, 4 Talbot's, 8 Vauxhall's and 2 VW's

Owing to the unique location of the event the Royal Air Force will be represented in the sky on the Sunday 16th August by the world famous RAF Red Arrows Display Team and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. In addition there will be a host of family entertainments, classic cars, static aircraft and a range of refreshment stands making the event a fantastic attraction for all the family.
