The 1985 Press on Regardless Rally, based in Houghton Michigan, was won quite comfortably by Rod Millen in his rotary engined Mazda RX-7 4WD (unlike the FISA homologated Group B RX7 which was 2WD).
Millen's main rival John Buffum suffered a myriad of problems, with his BF Goodrich Audi Sport quattro, to claim second and was over three and half minutes behind Millen at the finish. Clive Smith was 3rd in a Toyota Corolla GTS and a long way behind the top two.
The YouTube video below also features the late John Woodner in his practically clubman spec Peugeot 205 T16 E1 and the only Canadian WRC winner Walter Boyce (POR 1973) in a Dodge Omni GLH.
